I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxation. The service was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcomed. The location was ideal, right next to the open-air onsen and conveniently close to shops. The dining was delicious, although options were not always available. The facilities were well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience.

The rooms, with a low platform bed on tatami mats, were one of the better ones I've experienced. They were very large and comfortable despite the older condition.

Staying at this traditional Japanese-style hotel was a truly immersive experience. While the rooms had a ton of history and showcased beautiful Japanese aesthetics, some might find the furniture and wall paintings slightly outdated. However, the low platform bed on tatami mats added to the charm of the room, which was still in good condition overall.

7.6/10

My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The location was great, right next to Sainokawara Park and surrounded by souvenir shops and street food vendors, but the room I had wasn't the cleanest, especially the bathroom. The service, however, was exceptional with very kind and friendly staff. The dining experience was delicious and filling, particularly enjoying the salmon and miso-siru, but the facilities were lacking a bit.

Rooms
6.0
The room I got was located at the street level and was a bit noisy. It had three occupants, some with colds, coughing early in the morning. The second night, the occupant was a loud snorer. The cleanliness, especially of the bathroom, left much to be desired.
Service
9.0
The service provided by the staff was of the highest standard. They were very kind, offered very prompt email replies, assistance, and a free shuttle service. Their friendliness added to the overall positive experience.
Location
8.0
The location of the hotel was superb, close to main attractions like Sainokawara Park and within walking distance of Kataoka Museum and Yubatake shopping street. The area downstairs was a bit too hot for comfort, but the proximity to hot spring gardens and outdoor onsens was a plus.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was delicious and very filling, especially enjoying the salmon and miso-siru. The sweet products available were also good, adding a nice touch to the stay.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were average, not standing out significantly compared to the other aspects of the stay.
